Cannescape's 4/20 Dinner & Overnight Celebration at Mendocino Grove
Our annual 4/20 retreat took place at Mendocino Grove — an award-winning glamping destination on Northern California’s picturesque Mendocino Coast. Nestled within an ancient redwood grove, guests enjoyed a weekend complete with infused cuisine by Chopped 420 Champion Solomon Johnson, a wellness workshop in partnership with award winning Green Bee Botanicals & Q+ A with Napa Valley Cannabis Association President Jackie Simion, beverage bars hosted by 4X cookbook author & cannabis expert + sommelier Jamie Evans & more!
The weekend kicked off with a welcome CBD & cannabis cocktail happy hour around the fireplace with meet and greet with Chef Solomon Johnson & sponsors; charcuterie and bites; OOKAs; and a beverage bar Jamie Evans in partnership with Artet.
Our main event was Chef Johnson's six course, fully infused dinner. The menu featured a Charred Corn & Poblano Soup With Cilantro & Crispy Garlic; Charred Plums, Farro, Beets & Burrata With Pistachio Dust & Chive Oil; Confit Leeks With Nori & Charcoal Aioli; Caviar & Creme Fraiche Served On Blini With Smoked Sea Salt; "Steak & Stones" Chipotle, Crema & Micro Cilantro or Cast Iron Sonoma Hills Farm Red Cabbage With Crispy Allium, Tahini Caesar & Chives; and for dessert, "O Hey Boo" Challah With Honey Butter, Bush Berry Gastric & Smoked Vanilla Devonshire.
Guests spent the rest of the evening and following morning enjoying the property and amenities which included a beautiful sauna, hammocks, fire pits, bocce ball court, daily yoga, organic bath products, hot showers (indoor & out), board games & books, hiking trails with spectacular views of the bay & more.
The next morning guests woke to a CBD breakfast with a Yogurt Parfait With Seasonal Fruit, CBD Honey and Granola; a Waffle With Powdered Sugar Seasonal Fruit with your choice Of Sonoma Hills Farm sausage or ham; and a Maison Bloom Strawberry Spring Bellini by Jamie Evans.
This was followed by a wellness workshop with award-winning Green Bee Botanicals & conversation with Napa Valley Cannabis Association President Jackie Simion on incorporating CBD + THC into your wellness routine. Guests made DIY bath salts and took home samples of Green Bee products. Guests were sent off with a complimentary outdoor facials.
Sonoma Hills Farm, a premium craft cannabis farm and culinary garden located in the Sonoma Valley's Petaluma Gap Appellation, one of the nation's premier wine terroirs, provided our outstanding produce, meat and more for this event.
