We are the first travel-centric cannabis dining company bringing together the best of local Northern California travel, cannabis and food.

Our goal is to provide guests with an inimitable experience that combines overnight travel at a charming Northern California destination with a cannabis-forward dining event in a safe, lively and fun atmosphere with which to indulge, imbibe and enjoy fully and unabashedly.

Our Mission?

We want our guests to fully immerse themselves in a new destination, while also having the ability to let go of any stress or worries over having to get back home after a night of incredible food and company. Northern California offers some of the countryโ€™s best produce, products and culinary talent, and we want to curate all of what makes this place special for our guests during an overnight experience to remember. We hope to destigmatize and demystify cannabis infused dining while educating our guests on the benefit of the plant.

Our Story

Cannescape is the brainchild of Chelsea Davis, a San Francisco-based journalist and content creator. In addition to nearly a decade of experience covering the travel, culinary and hospitality spaces, in 2020 Chelsea helped to launch the Napa Valley Cannabis Association's social media accounts. She was soon fascinated by where the cannabis industry in Napa and beyond was heading, particularly the intersection of cannabis and fine dining within the tourism space.

A year later, Chelsea first met and interviewed Chef Solomon Johnson, who had recently exploded onto the Bay Area culinary scene when he took the flavors and traditions of the African Diaspora and reimagined what this cuisine would be like in a fine dining setting. That same month, she interviewed him again โ€” this time for becoming the first Bay Area Champion of "Chopped 420," a "Chopped" spinoff from Discovery+ featuring cannabis-infused food.

After continuing to hear and learn more about various cannabis dining events in California โ€” a place where cannabis tourism is only continuing to grow thanks to its legalization in the state โ€” she realized the potential for an all-inclusive, travel-centric cannabis-driven, fine dining concept.

Chelsea tapped Chef Solomon Johnson to be Cannescape's Resident Chef. Chef Johnson brings with him 15+ years of culinary experience and is currently the Co-Chef and Co-Owner of Pan-African restaurant, The Bussdown, and fine dining establishment OKO.

With Chelsea's background in travel and culinary journalism and impactful content creation, alongside Chef Johnsonโ€™s talent as a fine dining chef, known for brilliant infused cuisine, Cannescape is pioneering a new frontier in the world of cannabis.
